Collector Ensures Smooth Vasant Panchami Celebrations in Basara
Nirmal: District Collector Abhilasha Abhinav has instructed officials to make proper arrangements for the upcoming Vasant Panchami celebrations in Basara, ensuring a hassle-free experience for devotees.
On Friday, the Collector visited the Basara Sri Gyan Saraswati Devi temple and reviewed the preparations for the festival, which will take place from February 1 to 3. She also held a meeting with officials to discuss the necessary arrangements.
To oversee the event, the Bhainsa Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) has been appointed as a special officer. The Collector emphasized the importance of completing all arrangements in advance, ensuring that devotees face no inconveniences during the celebrations.
The Collector directed officials to provide essential facilities, including changing rooms, drinking water, bio-toilets, and baby feeding rooms, especially for devotees bathing in the Godavari River.
She also stressed the need for enhanced security measures. CCTV cameras should monitor the Godavari Pushkara Ghat and temple surroundings. Additionally, swimmers, ambulances, fire engines, medical camps, and help desks should be stationed near the river to handle emergencies.
To address parking issues, the Collector advised officials to implement effective traffic management plans. Strong security arrangements, in coordination with the police department, were also highlighted as a priority.
The temple is to be beautifully decorated with flowers and lighting to enhance the festive atmosphere. Officials from various departments attended the meeting and pledged to ensure the success of the event.
