    Hyderabad: World Boxing Champion and Olympic athlete Nikhat Zareen visited Telangana Government advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir at his residence in Jubilee Hills on Sunday. She was accompanied by her parents during this courtesy visit.

    Zareen thanked Shabbir Ali for helping her secure her new role as Deputy Superintendent of Police (Special Police) in Telangana, a position she has recently taken up.

    During their conversation, Shabbir Ali explained Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s vision for the future of sports in the state. He shared plans to establish a sports university in the next academic year, aimed at producing Olympic-level athletes. He also mentioned that international coaches would be brought in to train athletes and create a world-class sports environment.

    The former minister also praised the Chief Minister for pushing the idea of Hyderabad bidding to host the 2036 Summer Olympics. He highlighted the state government’s commitment to building top-quality sports infrastructure and promoting young talent, especially from rural areas. “We want to make Hyderabad the hub for sports and games in the entire country,” he said.
