Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager of South Central Railway, inaugurated the upgraded coach maintenance facility at Secunderabad Railway station. Secunderabad station is a major junction station with many passenger trains starting and ending there. The pit line at the washing siding was in poor condition, making it difficult to maintain the trains properly.

To improve maintenance and ensure safety, the upgraded facility was built at a cost of around Rs. 17 crore. The facility is designed according to the Centre for Advanced Maintenance Technology (CAMTECH) standards and can accommodate around 26 coaches at once. It also has proper lighting and drainage facilities.
