    TGCHE and BDMAI Join Hands to Train Students for Pharma Industry

    The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) and the Bulk Drug Manufacturers Association of India (BDMAI) have signed an important agreement to help students gain the skills needed for jobs in the pharmaceutical industry.

    This agreement aims to create a skilled workforce for the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) sector, which is growing rapidly. It will ensure that students are better prepared for careers in this field.

    TGCHE Chairman, Prof. V. Balakista Reddy, stated that this partnership will help students gain the right skills, internships, and job opportunities. He also emphasized that it will strengthen Telangana’s reputation as a major center for pharmaceutical and bulk drug manufacturing.

    RK Agarwal, the national president of BDMAI, highlighted that the industry needs more skilled professionals. He said that working closely with colleges will help train students for key roles in production and related fields, ensuring a strong talent pool and encouraging innovation in the API sector.

    The main goal of this agreement is to align educational training with industry needs. Students will receive practical knowledge in pharmaceutical manufacturing, research and development (R&D), quality control (QC), quality assurance (QA), plant maintenance, safety, and regulatory management.

    As part of this collaboration, industry-relevant courses and training programs will be developed. Students will also get hands-on experience through internships, workshops, and live projects guided by industry experts. Additionally, the initiative will promote research and innovation to solve challenges in the pharmaceutical field.

    Thousands of students are expected to benefit from this partnership. It will help them build successful careers in the API industry while also fulfilling the workforce needs of the pharmaceutical sector.
