    Petrol Station Inaugurated in Sircilla to Support Marginalized Groups

    A new petrol station, set up at a cost of Rs 4.5 crore by the Indian Oil Corporation, was inaugurated on Saturday near the medical college in Sircilla. The project aims to create self-employment opportunities for marginalized groups, including persons with disabilities, women, and transgenders.

    The inauguration event was led by Government Whip and Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas, who emphasized the government’s commitment to empowering these groups. He stated that 24 individuals from these communities have already been employed at the petrol station, which was established under the district administration’s initiative. Srinivas also encouraged the public to support the station by purchasing fuel from it.

    Key dignitaries present at the event included Choppadandi MLA Medipalli Satyam, Manakondur MLA Kavvampalli Satyanarayana, District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha, and Additional Collector Khimya Naik. Speaking at the ceremony, Srinivas noted that this petrol station is the first of its kind in both the state and the country. He assured the attendees that efforts to address the challenges faced by disabled individuals, women, and transgenders would continue.

    MLAs Satyam and Satyanarayana praised the District Collector’s efforts in bringing the project to life. They encouraged the station staff to work hard to ensure its success and contribute to its long-term development.

    Other attendees included District Welfare Officer Lakshmi Rajam, District Libraries Association Chairman Nagula Satyanarayana, and Sircilla Market Committee Chairperson Swaroop Reddy. Several officials and community members also participated in the event, marking it as a significant step toward social and economic inclusion.
