There is a demand from daily passengers in the north part of Hyderabad to extend MMTS services up to Lingampally. In response to this demand, South Central Railway (SCR) has introduced six new MMTS services between Medchal-Lingampally and Medchal-Hyderabad areas. This move aims to improve public transport in the twin cities.
According to SCR officials, four new MMTS services have been introduced between Medchal-Lingampally sections during the morning and evening peak hours. This will benefit daily commuters who travel in these areas. In addition, MMTS train connectivity has been established for the first time between Medchal and Hyderabad stations.
To facilitate connectivity for sub-urban commuters to Kacheguda station, one pair of MMTS services has been introduced from Lingampally-Umdanagar in the early hours and from Falaknuma-Lingampally during the night times. This is in addition to the recently introduced Vande Bharat Train Service between Kacheguda and Bengaluru.
Overall, these new MMTS services aim to cater to the needs of sub-urban passengers and improve transportation options in the city.
