A new attraction is coming to Hyderabad: a unique laser-based light and sound show with a water screen and musical fountain at Sanjeevaiah Park. The project, named “Design, Supply, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning of a Multimedia Laser Show,” will feature over 1000 robotic nozzles and advanced lighting systems, including three 40W RGB lasers. The show will also have a viewing gallery with seating for 800-1000 guests, a rooftop restaurant, high-definition projectors, and a surround sound system.
The project emphasizes educational storytelling, with projections detailing the history of the Kohinoor Diamond, Telangana’s formation, and the Indian independence movement. It also boasts India’s largest and tallest water fountain, standing 260 feet tall. The show aims to integrate technological innovation with historical and educational narratives to create an immersive experience for visitors.
Union Minister G Kishan Reddy conceptualized and commissioned the project, which will be inaugurated on Tuesday. The light and sound show will tell the story of the Kohinoor Diamond and its journey across cultures and continents. Reddy initiated the project to bring this significant historical narrative to the public domain. The script was written by SS Kanchi under the supervision of S Vijayendra Prasad, MP (Rajya Sabha).
The laser-based show on the waves of Hussainsagar Lake is a new experiment in India, with fountains transforming into screens to showcase colorful video images. The project aims to showcase the history of the area through aqua screen projection mapping, synchronized fountain shows, and cultural music. Popular singer Sunita narrated the story, while Vandematram Srinivas composed the music for the show.
Proper signage, seating arrangements for tourists, pathways, and public utilities have been planned to enhance the visitor experience at Sanjeevaiah Park. The project aims to offer a unique tourist attraction that highlights the cultural and civilizational heritage of India using innovative audio-visual media.
