TEKKALI: A new development has emerged in the ongoing family dispute involving YSRCP MLC Duvvada Srinivas. The police have filed a case against Divvala Madhuri, who is accused of being involved in an affair with Srinivas.
Madhuri is accused of causing an accident on the Palasa National Highway as part of a suicide attempt. She has been charged under Section 125 of the New Indian Penal Code for reckless driving and endangering others’ lives.
The family issues of Duvvada Srinivas, from Tekkali in the Srikakulam district, have recently gained public attention. Srinivas’s wife, Vani, and their two daughters claim he has distanced himself from the family due to his alleged relationship with Madhuri. This has resulted in a heated exchange between Vani and Madhuri, with both sides making serious accusations against each other in recent days.
On Sunday, Madhuri was involved in an accident while traveling from Tekkali to Palasa. Her car collided with a stationary vehicle near the Lakshmipuram toll gate, causing it to overturn. Madhuri was injured and taken to Palasa Hospital, where she refused treatment, admitting she intended to end her life by causing the accident.
Madhuri blamed Vani for her distress, saying she could not handle Vani’s harsh remarks. She alleged that Vani’s comments damaged her reputation and that Vani’s demands for DNA tests for her children drove her to attempt suicide by crashing into a lorry. Madhuri stated she would only accept medical treatment if Vani was arrested. Eventually, after about an hour and a half, doctors forcibly administered treatment to her.
