    iTIC Incubator at IIT Hyderabad and Greenko Group have launched a new program called Bold & Unique Ideas Leading to Development (BUILD) to support undergraduate students and recent graduates in India with innovative ideas. The program was launched on World Environment Day at IIT Hyderabad, with the presence of Dr Anil Chalamalasetty, MD and CEO, Greenko Group and Prof B S Murty, Director, IIT Hyderabad, and Dr A S Kiran Kumar (former Chairman, ISRO) as well as faculty members. The aim of the program is to help students turn their ideas into startups.

    Under the BUILD initiative, iTIC Incubator at IIT Hyderabad has partnered with 14 incubators across India to promote the program and support 75 innovators. Selected innovators can receive financial aid of up to INR 1 lakh, mentorship, prototyping support, and co-working space. After a 12-month program, innovators may be eligible for pre-incubation support and further grants at iTIC Incubator at IIT Hyderabad. Interested innovators can apply on the iTIC website by July 5, 2023.

    Prof B S Murty, Director IITH, believes that the BUILD program can help create job creators instead of job seekers in India. He announced that the program has been in place at IITH for its own students for the past 3 years and it is now time to extend it to the whole nation. Dr Anil Chalamalasetty, MD and CEO, Greenko Group, also expressed his support for the initiative and called it a milestone in creating a vibrant ecosystem that nurtures innovation and creativity. Finally, Dr A S Kiran Kumar congratulated iTIC Incubator at IIT Hyderabad and Greenko Group for the unique initiative and stated that programs like BUILD can help support growth.
