Telugu Desam Party (TDP) general secretary Nara Lokesh criticized the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Government for falsely accusing TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu and his family. The TDP’s State executive committee meeting was held at the party central office near Mangalagiri in Guntur district without Naidu, who is currently in jail for a multi-crore scam in AP Skill Development Corporation.
During the meeting, Lokesh expressed his emotions and praised his father Naidu’s dedication to the welfare of the people in Andhra Pradesh. He called Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy a ‘betrayer’ and blamed him for the state’s severe financial crisis and chaos due to his misrule.
Lokesh accused YS Jagan of misusing the police and filing false cases against TDP workers who criticized the YSRCP Government on social media. He also criticized Jagan’s failure to attract industries and provide employment opportunities for the youth, resulting in several reputable companies withdrawing their investments from the state.
Lokesh questioned why Naidu was still in jail despite his efforts in implementing welfare schemes, promoting industries, investments, and employment for the youth. He also criticized the YSRCP Government for its delay in completing irrigation projects, especially the Polavaram project, which is crucial for the state’s development.
In addition, Lokesh condemned the personal attacks made by YSRCP MLAs against his mother, Nara Bhuvaneswari, during the Assembly sessions. He clarified that his mother is not involved in politics and only focuses on service-oriented activities.
Lokesh expressed shock at the allegations made by YSRCP leaders that his mother and wife went to jail to harm Naidu with poisoned food. He denied these accusations and stated that they will continue to fight for the well-being of the people in the state, following Naidu’s spirit.
