Nara Bhuvaneswari, the wife of TDP president and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, will begin a campaign called ‘Nijam Gelavali’ next week in Andhra Pradesh. The campaign aims to console the families of those who died after Naidu’s illegal arrest. TDP leaders claim that 105 people died due to sorrow caused by Naidu’s arrest.
The TDP is encouraged by the success of the daylong hunger strike ‘Satyameva Jayate’ on October 2 and plans to organize a series of programs to connect with the people in the state. Bhuvaneswari will lead the ‘Nijam Gelavali’ campaign and will tour different parts of the state multiple times a week.
Additionally, the TDP has decided to restart the ‘Babu Surety-Bhavisyathuku Guarantee’ program with Nara Lokesh, the TDP general secretary, taking over from his father Naidu. Lokesh will also resume the ‘Yuva Galam’ padyatra once Naidu is released from jail. A party meeting will be held in the next few days to review the party’s programs.
