Miss World is one of the most famous beauty pageants in the world. It was started in 1951 in the UK by Eric Morley. After he passed away in 2000, his wife, Julia Morley, took over. The 72nd edition of the competition will be held in India, further highlighting the country’s cultural influence.

Telangana, the youngest state in India, has been chosen to host Miss World 2025. The event will take place from May 7 to May 31. Various locations across the state will be used for the competition, but Hyderabad will be the main venue for the opening, closing, and grand finale. This event will showcase both Telangana’s rich cultural heritage and its modern developments.

Previously, the 71st Miss World was hosted in New Delhi and Mumbai. Julia Morley, along with Smita Sabharwal, the Secretary for Tourism, Culture, Heritage, and Youth Affairs in Telangana, shared their excitement about bringing the event to the state. Morley also thanked Telangana’s Chief Minister, A. Revanth Reddy, for his support in making this global event possible.
