The Winter Session of Parliament started with a meeting at the Parliamentary Library building in New Delhi. Nama Nageswara Rao, the Lok Sabha leader and Member of Parliament from Khammam, actively participated in the meeting.
Rao raised concerns about pending funds related to Telangana and requested their prompt release. He also expressed empathy for the public who are facing difficulties due to high prices and urged immediate measures to alleviate the economic strain on their lives.
During the meeting, Rao presented important suggestions to ensure the smooth functioning of both houses during the session. He emphasized the need for a comprehensive discussion on key issues such as the minimum support price for farmers, rising prices, unemployment, Central-State relations, and public matters.
Rao called upon the government, specifically the BJP-led government, to go beyond legislative bills and address the real-life challenges faced by citizens. He specifically urged a thorough examination of laws related to the minimum support price for farmers.
Unemployment was another pressing issue highlighted by Rao. He urged the Central government to prioritize discussions and come up with effective solutions. He also stressed the importance of a comprehensive discussion on the Minimum Support Price Act.
