The DPIIT-IPR Chair and N C Banerjee Centre of IP Law at NALSAR University of Law organized a one-day national conference on the theme “IP for Start-up Business.” The conference aimed to provide startup founders and aspiring entrepreneurs with insights and tools for navigating the complex intellectual property landscape. The conference took place physically at the Shameerpet campus.
During the conference, Dr. Deepanwita Chattopadhyay, chairman and CEO of IKP Knowledge Park, delivered the inaugural keynote address. She highlighted the importance of developing intellectual property strategies for start-ups. Other speakers at the conference included Subhadip Sarkar, Biju K Nair, Dr. Janani Venkatraman, Ravi Bhola, Dr. Surya Man Tripathi, and Dr. Rahul Kapoor. They shared their knowledge on intellectual property management and strategies, as well as their experiences in building an enterprise.
The presentations focused on integrating intellectual property considerations into the strategic framework for start-up businesses. The discussions were insightful and emphasized the significance of intellectual property in the startup ecosystem.
The conference was attended by a contingent of 28 participants from 11 countries in the African subcontinent.
