    The district administration in Nalgonda is preparing for an upcoming MLC by-election on May 27, following the successful Parliament elections. District Collector Dasari Harichandana announced that all arrangements are being made for the Nalgonda-Khammam-Warangal graduate constituency by-election.

    Nominations have already been completed, with 52 candidates in the running and symbols allotted to each candidate. A total of 4,63,839 graduates have registered to vote in the election, with 5 lakh postal ballots being printed for voters in Chanchalguda, Hyderabad.

    AROs have been appointed in the newly formed 12 districts within the three erstwhile districts, with 605 polling centers set up. The election will require 605 polling staff and 2,896 personnel, including POs, APOs, and OPOs.

    Distribution centers will be established in the 12 district centers, allowing polling staff to distribute ballot papers and boxes to polling centers. Jumbo ballot boxes will be used due to the large number of candidates in the contest.

    The Parliament elections in Nalgonda concluded peacefully, with a 74.03 percent voter turnout. An additional 2 percent of votes were recorded through postal ballot. EVMs from seven constituencies have been secured in a strong room near Nalgonda, with counting of votes scheduled for June 4.
