Nalgonda District Collector Tripathi has taken a bold step by terminating the services of 99 Panchayat Secretaries. These officials were found to have been absent from their duties for several months. This decision aims to enforce accountability and improve efficiency in rural administration.

The action was based on reports highlighting the prolonged absenteeism of these secretaries. Their absence had significantly disrupted administrative work at the grassroots level. Many of the dismissed employees are unhappy with the decision and are planning to protest against it.

Collector Tripathi’s firm decision underscores the importance of dedication to public service. It also serves as a warning to other officials in the district to take their responsibilities seriously. To avoid any disruption in administrative work, the district administration has promised to set up temporary arrangements to keep the panchayats functioning smoothly.
