Chandrababu Naidu Aspires for Telugu Community to Lead Globally by 2047

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed his dream of uniting all Telugu-speaking people across the world to make Andhra Pradesh a global leader by 2047. Speaking at the World Telugu Federation conference held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) on Friday, Naidu emphasized the need for the Telugu community to strive for a poverty-free future and global excellence.

Naidu drew inspiration from former Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao, who, he said, gave the Telugu people worldwide recognition. “From Anantapur to Adilabad, from Srikakulam to Palamuru, all Telugus are the same. Not only in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana but also in other countries like America, we are all one community,” Naidu stated. He also highlighted how Telugus abroad have preserved their language and traditions even better than some within the Telugu states.

Reflecting on Hyderabad’s development, Naidu recalled his early vision for the city. “When I became Chief Minister, this area was just rocks and rubble. I imagined it would become the IT city of the world. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) laid the foundation for Hyderabad’s growth. Today, Telangana ranks first in the country in terms of per capita income due to the groundwork done during the TDP regime,” he said. Naidu stressed the importance of foresight and collaboration in achieving major milestones.

The Chief Minister also spoke about notable personalities like Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao. He credited Rao for initiating economic reforms and himself for advancing those reforms with a focus on information technology. “People mocked me then, asking if IT would feed us or if cell phones would be useful. But the youth embraced technology and excelled,” he remarked.

Naidu emphasized the need for Andhra Pradesh to focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and deep technology. He envisioned a future where every household would have an IT professional or an entrepreneur. “We are working on strengthening infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh and promoting Swachh Andhra Pradesh. Deep technology is the future. We are introducing WhatsApp governance and enabling 150 services to be accessed from home without needing to visit government offices,” Naidu explained.

The conference concluded with Naidu’s call for unity, innovation, and a collective effort to make the Telugu community a shining example on the global stage.
