Nagar Kurnool: District BC Welfare Officer Kaja Najim Ali Apsar has stressed the importance of providing better facilities and nutritious meals to students in government hostels.
Speaking on Sunday at the Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu (Governance Success Celebrations) held at the Government BC Girls’ Hostel in Nagarkurnool, he participated in several activities, including essay writing and rangoli competitions. He also distributed prizes to the winners of these events.
The officer highlighted that the state government has increased mess charges to ensure students receive meals according to the prescribed menu. Acknowledging some of the challenges faced by students in government hostels, he assured that the government is taking steps to resolve these issues quickly.
He issued a warning to hostel welfare officers, stating that strict action would be taken against those who fail to fulfill their responsibilities toward students. Additionally, he encouraged students to report any problems to higher authorities for immediate action.
The event was attended by Hostel Welfare Officer Tarangini and other staff members, who joined in supporting the celebrations and activities.
