Former Minister and Congress leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy has resigned from the Congress party after being denied a ticket. He is expected to join the BRS party. In a letter to the party high command, Reddy expressed his disappointment and said that he was not consulted before the ticket was allotted. He also raised concerns about K Damodar Reddy, a BRS MLC, getting a ticket for his son Rajesh Reddy, who is a new entrant into politics. Reddy alleged that there may be an understanding between the BRS and Congress candidates to undermine his chances of winning the upcoming assembly elections. He further stated that he cannot support a fake Congress candidate whose father continues to serve in the ruling party. The BRS working president will meet with Reddy to discuss his potential joining of the BRS party.
