BJP National President JP Nadda had a six-hour meeting with state presidents of southern states in Hyderabad on Sunday. The states included in this meeting were Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu.

During the meeting, Nadda expressed his dissatisfaction with the functioning of the Karnataka and Kerala units. He is considering a change in the state presidents for these two states. Nadda requested the Karnataka unit to come up with an action plan. It’s worth noting that BJP members in Karnataka have been unhappy since their poor performance in the recent elections.

Nadda praised the work of the Tamil Nadu state chief and later visited the Ujjaini Mahankali temple to offer prayers. He will also hold a separate meeting with Telangana state leaders. While the national party has prioritized focus on southern states, its stance on Telangana remains unclear. The party has faced setbacks since its defeat in Karnataka, leading to confusion among its members.
