Former MLA and Congress candidate N Padmavathi Reddy, while campaigning in Kodad, stated that the Congress rule is necessary for the development of tribals. She criticized the BRS government for neglecting tribal welfare and only using them as vote banks. Reddy also expressed her concern over the false cases filed by BRS leaders against those who demanded double bedroom houses. She promised to support the construction of the Santh Sevalal building in Kodad. During her campaign, Reddy wore a Lambada dress and danced with tribal women. Congress leaders warmly welcomed her in Balajinagar.
