The Tehreek Muslim Shabban (TMS), a Muslim organization, has announced its support for the Congress party in the Lok Sabha elections. They believe that the Congress is committed to standing up against the RSS and BJP, and ensuring the protection of the Constitution.
The president of TMS, Mohammed Mushtaq Malik, stated that they will support the Congress in 15 out of the 17 LS seats, excluding Hyderabad and Karimnagar. The organization feels that the Congress is the best choice due to the neglect of the Muslim community by the BRS government during their 10-year rule.
Malik criticized the BJP-RSS government for its divisive tactics and targeting of the Muslim community through policies like Triple Talaq, CAA, and love jihad. He also condemned PM Modi’s statement about giving funds to Muslims if Congress comes to power, deeming it unconstitutional and unethical.
According to Malik, the BJP’s hate politics has fueled animosity among different communities in India. He expressed concerns about the BJP’s intentions to change the Constitution and abolish Muslim reservations, particularly in Telangana. He believes that Modi’s anti-Muslim stance has been revealed through his actions.
TMS hopes that the Congress will address the political, economic, and social discrimination faced by Muslims. They are supportive of the Congress manifesto, which addresses important national issues and promotes social justice. The organization is backing the Congress and its manifesto in the upcoming 2024 LS elections.
