In Warangal Lok Sabha constituency, several BRS leaders are now vying for the ticket after Kadiyam Kavya backed out and is set to join Congress. Some leaders are also leaving the party.

One senior leader, Station GhanpurThatikondaRajaiah, who was previously not active in the party, is trying to approach BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao. Rajaiah was denied a ticket during the 2023 Assembly elections and it was given to Kadiyam Srihari. It was rumored that Rajaiah would be given the Lok Sabha ticket, but it was ultimately given to Kavya, Srihari’s daughter, instead of sitting MP Pasunuri Dayakar. Srihari and Kavya have met with Congress leaders indicating their intention to join the ruling party.

Potential candidates for the Warangal Lok Sabha seat include Peddi Sudarshan Reddy’s wife Peddi Swapna, Jinka Ramesh, and B Dinna. However, BRS leaders from Warangal and other districts have been leaving the party. Former MLA Aroori Ramesh has joined BJP and received a ticket. Sitting MP Dayakar has also joined Congress.

There were rumors that Maloth Kavitha from Mahabubabad Lok Sabha segment might resign from the party, but she has confirmed that she will be contesting from the constituency and has no plans to switch parties. Kavitha emphasized that Mahabubabad is a strong seat for the party and she will continue to work under KCR’s leadership.

Party leaders like Madan Reddy and Vanteru Pratap Reddy are also considering changing parties. Pratap Reddy is unhappy with the party’s decision to not give him a ticket and instead choose P Venkatram Reddy, who is already a member of the Legislative Council. Madan Reddy, who was promised a ticket in the Assembly elections but overlooked for the Lok Sabha seat, is also open to changing parties.
