    Key Demands and Statements

Speaking at the protest, TRS senior leader Nagar Doddi Venkataramulu made several demands. He urged the government not to release any examination results until a law on SC classification is passed. He insisted that the Telangana Assembly must categorize SCs into A, B, C, and D groups and immediately issue a gazette notification.

He also criticized the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) for its recent decision on government job results. He demanded that all results be postponed until the SC classification is implemented. Venkataramulu reminded the government that the Supreme Court had ruled on August 1, 2023, allowing states to implement SC classification. However, CM Revanth Reddy has not taken any action despite his promises in the Assembly.

Additionally, he pointed out that the Justice Shamim Akhtar Commission report had reduced the Madiga community’s population figures. This has led to their reservation share dropping from 11% to 9%, benefiting the Mala community instead. He warned that if the government does not act, MRPS will intensify its protests with indefinite hunger strikes across the state.

Further Criticism from MRPS Leader B. Shankar Madiga

MRPS state leader B. Shankar Madiga also criticized the government. He demanded that the release of results for Group-1, Group-2, Group-3, and other job exams be halted until the SC classification law is enacted. He warned that MRPS would launch large-scale protests if results are published before classification.

Shankar Madiga also called for two ministerial positions to be reserved for the Madiga community in the state cabinet. He urged CM Revanth Reddy to fulfill his promise of introducing an ordinance in the Assembly for SC classification. He condemned certain individuals within the Madiga community who were attacking MRPS leader Manda Krishna Madiga, calling their actions unacceptable.

He further warned that if the SC classification law is not passed in the current Assembly session, the Congress government would face strong opposition from the Madiga community.

    Protest Participants and Future Actions

Several key MRPS and community leaders took part in the protest. Some of them included Ashok Madiga, Addakula Mosanna Madiga, Anjaneyulu Madiga, district co-conveners Ganjipet Parush and Bandari David, Gattu Mandal president Bulgare Yesanna Madiga, and Maldakal Mandal former president Thimmanna Madiga. Others present were KT Doddi Mandal in-charge Jambayya Madiga, Aiza Hanumanthu, and VHPS national vice-president B.K. Narasimhulu.

The hunger strike is ongoing, and MRPS leaders have warned that they will intensify their protests if the government does not take immediate action on their demands.
