    Rajya Sabha MP Dr Bandi Parthasarathi Reddy has asked the Collectors of Kothagudem and Khammam to provide necessary facilities at the relief centers for flood-affected families. He called the District Collectors while he was in New Delhi for the monsoon session of Parliament to inquire about the flood situation and relief measures.

    Dr Reddy suggested that more relief centers should be set up in Bhadrachalam and Pinapaka constituencies due to the forecast of further rise in flood level at Bhadrachalam. The Collector of Kothagudem district informed him that 22 relief centers have already been set up and are well-equipped.

    The Collector of Khammam district informed Dr Reddy that the Munneru flood was under control and people in flood-affected areas have been shifted to relief centers. All necessary measures have been taken to ensure the comfort of the families at the relief centers.
