Mahabubnagar MP DK Aruna has submitted a 20-point proposal to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, urging quick action for the development of Narayanpet district. She presented this request during the Chief Minister’s visit to Narayanpet, focusing on infrastructure, education, healthcare, and public welfare.

In her proposal, DK Aruna emphasized the need for immediate compensation for people who lost their land under G.O. 69. She also called for the recruitment of staff for Narayanpet’s newly sanctioned medical college, where only 10% of the required employees have been hired. Additionally, she demanded the establishment of a women’s degree college, a PG college, an ITI, and a polytechnic college in Narayanpet town, along with similar institutions in Makthal constituency and Marikal mandal.

She also requested the construction of a Navodaya school in Mahbubnagar town, as the previously sanctioned one was allocated to Gandedu mandal, which falls under a different parliamentary constituency. Furthermore, she pointed out the poor infrastructure in Gurukul schools and urged the government to build permanent buildings to ease student hardships.

Other key demands include declaring Kotakonda (Narayanpet) and Garlapahad (Mahbubnagar) as new mandals and sanctioning a new police station in Bhunidu village. She also highlighted the urgent need to repair the damaged drainage system in Narayanpet town to prevent the spread of diseases like malaria and dengue. Given the expected water shortage in summer, she requested immediate repairs to old borewells and approval for new ones.

For the handloom community, DK Aruna urged the government to restore the ₹2,000 subsidy under the Thrift Fund scheme, which was recently reduced to ₹1,600. She also called for issuing health cards to handloom workers and speeding up the establishment of the handloom and industrial parks that were already sanctioned for Narayanpet.

She further requested the government to approve a state-level guest house in Narayanpet, as the one initially planned was moved to Kodangal. Additionally, she pushed for the completion of the district’s Collectorate and SP office buildings, which have remained unfinished for six years since the district was formed.

Her proposal also included requests for better roads, such as BT roads from Kollur Gate to Kollur village and from Samastapur Gate (Utkoor Mandal) to the Karnataka border. She also urged the government to clear pending pension and retirement benefits of retired government employees, which are stuck in the e-Kuber system.

As part of the PRASAD (Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Augmentation Drive) scheme, Aruna recommended including Sri Kurumarthi Temple, Beechupalli Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple, Manyamkonda Devasthanam, Maldakal Thimmappa Temple, and Sirsanagandla Sitarama Temple for central government support.

Stressing that these demands are essential for the overall development of Narayanpet and its surrounding areas, MP DK Aruna urged CM Revanth Reddy to approve funds quickly and ensure the proposed projects are implemented without delay.
