    Gadwal (Singapore): The Telugu New Year festival, Ugadi, was celebrated with great excitement at the GIIS, MPH Auditorium in Punggol, Singapore. The event was organized by the Cultural Kala Saradhi Singapore to welcome the Vishwavasu Telugu year.

    D.K. Aruna, BJP National Vice President and Member of Parliament from Mahbubnagar, attended the event as the chief guest. She was warmly received and honored by the members of the organizing group. The program included beautiful performances of traditional Telugu music and dance, which entertained everyone present.

    During the event, MP D.K. Aruna shared her happiness about joining the Ugadi celebrations, especially since it was her first time attending as an MP in 14 years. She highlighted the importance of preserving Telugu culture and traditions for future generations.

    Many guests praised the organizers for promoting the Telugu language and culture, especially in a foreign country like Singapore. They appreciated how such programs help children in the Telugu community stay connected to their roots.

    Concerns were raised about children speaking mostly in English and forgetting their mother tongue.     Some people mentioned how the construction of the grand Ayodhya Ram Mandir has helped revive Hindu customs and encouraged more devotion among people.
