Mahabubnagar:
MP DK Aruna, who is also the Chairperson of the ‘Disha’ Committee, held the first Disha Committee meeting on Saturday at the District Collectorate in Mahabubnagar. The main focus of this meeting was to improve the overall development of the district by effectively implementing welfare schemes and solving local issues.
During the meeting, Aruna stressed the importance of teamwork between public representatives and officials. She said that welfare schemes should reach all deserving citizens without any delays or mistakes. She highlighted the need for fair execution and urged officials to avoid any negligence in the process.
Aruna also pointed out that political bias should be avoided when selecting beneficiaries. She said that only those who truly need help should benefit from both central and state government schemes.
Some of the key issues discussed in the meeting included the development of infrastructure in the district, such as building better roads, providing housing for the poor, pension programs, and improving schools, irrigation systems, and support for farmers.
She also emphasized the need to act quickly on problems, especially with central schemes like Mudra Loans, Vishwakarma Loans, Ayushman Bharat, PM Awas Yojana, Kisan Samman Yojana, and road projects funded by the CRF.
Several important people attended the meeting, including MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy, District Collector Vijayendra Boi, Additional Collectors Shivendra Pratap and Mohan Rao, along with other senior district officials. Together, they discussed ways to address development challenges and move forward with ongoing projects.
