    Hyderabad: The Telangana Hospitals and Nursing Homes Association (THANA) organized a state convention called THANACON-2024 on Sunday at the Novotel HICC in Hyderabad. The event was led by the Greater Hyderabad and Rangareddy District Medchal, Vikarabad Branch. The one-day convention was inaugurated by Telangana State Public Health Director, Dr. N. Ravinder Nayak.

    The conference focused on providing solutions to challenges that nursing homes and hospitals face. It included panel discussions on topics such as Consumer Forum cases, the survival of smaller hospitals, and the implementation of the Aarogya Sri scheme.

    Another important theme of the event was improving the quality of healthcare services. The conference highlighted the importance of accreditation for Healthcare Organizations (HCOs) through the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH).

    Speaking at the event, Dr. Ravinder Nayak emphasized the significant role both government and private hospitals play in delivering healthcare to people. He added that Telangana has become a hub for medical tourism, with many people from across the country coming to the state for treatment. This, he said, reflects the skill and dedication of the doctors and healthcare professionals in Telangana.

    THANA State President Dr. V.S. Rao and General Secretary Dr. Prasad mentioned that more than 500 doctors from across the state attended the conference. Healthcare experts from all over the country shared their knowledge through panel discussions and scientific sessions.

    Additionally, representatives from several national and international companies took part in the event. These companies specialize in hospital inventories, management software, equipment, and personnel management, making their participation valuable.

    Other notable attendees included Organizing Committee Secretary Dr. Naunihal, Organizing Committee Co-Chairman Dr. L. Suresh Goud, and national leaders like Indian Medical Association (IMA) National Elect President Dr. Dilip Bhanushali. IMA Telangana State President Dr. Kali Prasad, as well as district health officers Dr. Venkateswara Rao and Dr. Raghanadha Swamy, were also present at the event.
