Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, also known as KCR, is set to announce the first list of around 50 party candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections. The BRS chief has informed party leaders about their candidature in their respective constituencies and has asked them to start working. Many sitting members in the state Assembly will be retained, but there are some cases where conflicts between new and old leaders have led to a change in the candidate. For example, in Tandur, MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy has been chosen over MLC Patnam Mahender Reddy.

Some of the candidates finalized by KCR include himself for Gajwel, Kotha Prabhakar Reddy for Dubbaka, KTR for Sircilla, T Harish Rao for Siddipet, and many others for different constituencies. In the city limits, candidates like Ch Malla Reddy for Medchal and Arikepudi Gandhi for Serilingampally have been finalized. In the outskirts and other places, candidates such as V Srinivas Goud for Mahbubnagar and D Vinay Bhaskar for Warangal West have been chosen.
