Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to virtually inaugurate an NTPC power plant with a capacity of 800 mw. The power plant is worth Rs 6,000 crore. During his two-day visit to the state on October 1-3, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate several other development programs.

Union Minister and TS BJP chief G Kishan Reddy announced this during a press conference after visiting GG grounds in Nizamabad. He mentioned that on October 1, Modi will address a public meeting in Mahbubnagar, where he will lay the foundation stone for various development works. On October 3, he will address another meeting in Induru town.

Reddy further stated that the party has gained strength in north Telangana, from Hyderabad to Adilabad. There have also been positive changes in Khammam district, as tribals and local people are showing support towards the BJP. Responding to comments made by BRS leaders regarding Modi, Reddy said they have no right to criticize the party. He also challenged KCR, asking him to clarify what has been done for Telangana in the past nine years.

Regarding IT Minister KTR’s comments, Reddy stated that there is no need to respond. He mentioned that the Centre has provided Rs 9 lakh crore to Telangana in the last nine years. Reddy also criticized KCR for not fulfilling his promise of making a dalit the first CM of the state, and for failing to distribute three acres of land to Dalits as he had pledged.
