    Flying squad and video team officials will be put into action for the control and movement of any cash, liquor, and freebies. If caught by the flying squad, people have to provide details. The helpline 1950 will be available 24X7 for lodging complaints. The Election Commission is deploying the Integrated Expenditure Monitoring software for the first time. Media Certification and Monitoring Committees will certify advertisements. The candidate’s photograph and party’s symbol will be displayed on the postal ballot and ballot paper on the EVM’s ballot unit.

    The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Vikas Raj announced that the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) has come into force with the schedule announcement for Telangana’s Assembly polls by the Election Commission of India. Officials involved in election duty are considered on deputation due to the MCC. Flying squad and video team officials will control the movement of cash, liquor, and freebies. Those carrying cash should have relevant documents and provide details if caught by the flying squad.

    Incomplete affidavits filed by candidates will be rejected if any column is left blank. The returning officer will issue a notice for candidates to file a revised affidavit. If the candidate still fails to fill all the columns after the notice, it will be rejected during scrutiny. The helpline 1950 will be available for lodging complaints 24X7. The Election Commission is deploying the Integrated Expenditure Monitoring software for monitoring election expenses. Media Certification and Monitoring Committees will certify advertisements.
