In preparation for the upcoming general elections, a mock poll was held at the EVM godown in Rajendranagar. The event was organized by the First Level Checking team to familiarize political party representatives and ECL engineers with the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verified Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs). Collector Harish and other officials participated in the program to observe the mock poll and address any questions. The goal was to ensure everyone understood the voting process. By conducting mock polls on VVPATs, participants learned how the voting equipment works and its importance.
During the event, Collector Harish stressed the need for cooperation among political parties to ensure fair and transparent elections. District Revenue Officer Haripriya and election department officials played an active role in coordinating the mock poll.
