The newly formed Congress government in Hyderabad is discussing when they will give money to farmers through the ‘Rythu Bandhu’ program. MLC T Jeevan Reddy, a senior leader of the party, said that the government will review the program to make sure that only genuine farmers who actually cultivate will receive the investment assistance. The government plans to deposit money into the accounts of these farmers by the end of December.
As promised in their election manifesto, Jeevan Reddy stated that they will provide Rs. 7500 per acre as assistance. He criticized some landlords and real estate traders who falsely claim to have hundreds of acres as cultivated land and receive help from their farmer relatives.
To address this issue, the government will reevaluate the situation and identify any mistakes in the Dharani system. They will make sure that Rythu Bandhu benefits are given to actual cultivated lands. Jeevan Reddy also mentioned that although the previous government left the state treasury empty, they will still continue with the six guarantees and other public welfare schemes. On Sunday, Jeevan Reddy launched RTC bus services at Rechapalli in Sarangapur Mandal and later spoke to the media.
