Governments should support agriculture. In particular, there should be minimum electricity charges.” She accused Rahul Gandhi of making false promises to farmers when he visited Telangana, but MLC Kavitha pointed out that Revanth Reddy’s statements reflect the Congress party’s lack of concern for farmers.
Why did Revanth Reddy demand 24-hour free electricity for farmers? Kavitha questioned his audacity to demand such a thing when farmers are already being provided with power during their hours of hard work. She stated that both the TDP and Congress parties have realized that farmers do not need adequate electricity supply. They have seen that farmers have suffered greatly due to power cuts. If 24-hour power supply is provided to farmers, it will be a burden on Congress leaders. Kavitha demanded that Revanth Reddy apologize to the people of the village for misleading them.
