MLC Jeevan Reddy has expressed his disappointment at the suspension of Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi’s membership, stating that it is a black day for Indian democracy. In response to a nationwide protest call by the AICC, Reddy and other Congress leaders burned an effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Thesil Cross Roads in Jagitial on Saturday. Prior to this, they organized a rally from Indira Bhavan to the Tehsil Cross Roads and staged a protest, which led to a road blockade.

Reddy went on to say that the suspension of Rahul Gandhi’s membership is a murder of democracy and that people across the country are condemning this action. He further added that the current dispensation at the Centre will be taught a lesson by the citizens of India. Reddy also accused the BJP-led Centre of handing over public wealth to Adani and burdening every citizen with a debt of Rs 1.25 lakh by raising Rs 150 lakh crore. He attributed the responsibility for putting a burden on every unborn child in the country to Modi.
