MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy Urges Unity Among Government Employees

Mahabubnagar MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy has called for unity among government employees, emphasizing that they should see themselves as one fraternity. He made these remarks at the unveiling of the Telangana Gazetted Officers Association (TGO) New Year calendar and diary. The event took place at the IDOC District Collector’s Office in Mahabubnagar and was attended by District Collector Vijayendra Boyi, officials, and TGO members.

During his speech, the MLA criticized the governance of the past ten years, describing it as a period of monarchy. He claimed that employees were not allowed to speak freely, and many leaders who fought for their rights faced legal cases. He also questioned whether Telangana statehood would have been possible without the sacrifices of government employees and their participation in the Sakala Janula Samme (general strike).

Srinivas Reddy dismissed the idea that Telangana was achieved solely through the efforts of one individual or family. He stressed that true freedom means standing up for one’s rights rather than working under the influence of a single person or group.

The MLA assured employees that the current government considers them as partners in Telangana’s development rather than subordinates. He added that, unlike previous administrations, the present leadership does not interfere in internal matters of employees.

Addressing financial challenges, he pointed out that the state has allocated ₹23,000 crore for farm loan waivers and is also repaying debts left by the previous government. Despite financial difficulties, he assured that employee salaries are being credited on time and promised to address their concerns soon.

As part of the event, Srinivas Reddy paid floral tributes to Santh Sevawala Maharaj on his birth anniversary, recognizing his contributions to society.

Several key figures attended the event, including S. Vijay Kumar, Library Corporation Chairman Mallu Narsimha Reddy, former Municipal Chairman Anand Goud, DCC General Secretary Siraj Qadri, and TGO leaders K. Varaprasad, Eluri Srinivasa Rao, Shyam, A. Satyanarayana, B. Srinivas, and Macharla Ramakrishna.
