Palakurthi MLA M Yashaswini Reddy questioned the reason behind BRS leaders choosing to visit a specific farmer in Dharavath Thanda after former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao visited a farmer affected by drought. She pointed out that the farmer in question had only lost half an acre of crop.
Yashaswini Reddy emphasized that blaming the Congress Government for the drought was unreasonable, as they came into power after the rainy season. She also mentioned the impact of the partial collapse of the Medigadda barrage on irrigation supplies and criticized former minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao for not completing the Palakurthi and Chennur reservoirs.
The MLA highlighted that farmers did not receive any compensation during the BRS Government’s tenure, calling KCR’s claims a bluff. She also commented on KCR’s absence from Assembly sessions and sarcastically remarked that he had finally left his farmhouse.
Congress Palakurthi constituency in-charge Hanumandla Jhansi Rajender Reddy viewed KCR’s visit as a political move ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. She criticized Errabelli for failing to develop Palakurthi during his 15-year tenure and predicted his involvement in a phone tapping case.
