Kadiyam Srihari Focuses on Station Ghanpur's Development
Hanumakonda: Former Deputy Chief Minister and local MLA Kadiyam Srihari has stated that his main goal is to develop the Station Ghanpur constituency.
On Sunday, Srihari held a press conference at his residence in Kanaka Durga Colony, Hanumakonda. He thanked the people of his constituency for their support and blessings. He highlighted the need to improve irrigation, education, healthcare, and road infrastructure in the region.
Srihari explained that he joined the Congress party to fulfill his promises to the people. Over the past year, he secured approvals for development projects worth Rs 1,000 crores for the constituency. However, he mentioned that the Model Code of Conduct for the MLC elections was enforced just as Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was about to lay the foundation stones for these projects.
As part of the development plans, a Young India Integrated Residential School Complex will be set up with Rs 200 crores to provide corporate-level education. Additionally, a 100-bed hospital, an Integrated Divisional Office Complex worth Rs 26 crores, and various other projects have been planned.
For irrigation, Rs 148 crores have been allocated to line the main canal from Ghanpur Reservoir to Nawabpet Reservoir, ensuring water supply for two crops. A new degree college will also be constructed with an investment of Rs 30 crores.
The government initially sanctioned 3,500 Indiramma houses for the SC-reserved constituency. After Srihari’s request, Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy approved an additional 1,500 houses. In total, 5,000 Indiramma houses will be built at a cost of Rs 250 crores, with each house receiving Rs 5 lakhs.
Srihari assured that tenders for these projects, worth over Rs 1,000 crores, would be completed soon. He promised that the construction work would begin shortly and be completed within 18 months for public use.
Criticizing his opponents, he accused some individuals of falsely claiming that these projects were approved in the past. He stated that those who lack capability and responsibility are making baseless allegations. He also urged certain political leaders to avoid unnecessary criticism.
