MLA Rajagopal Reddy Helps People with Free Eye Surgeries
Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy is receiving a lot of praise for organizing free eye surgeries for people with vision problems. He is personally monitoring their health to ensure they recover well.
Usually, at medical camps, doctors check patients, give medicines, and suggest surgeries if needed. However, under the Sushilamma Foundation, the MLA went a step further by organizing a Mega Eye Medical Camp at his camp office in Munugode. The first camp was held in January, followed by another on February 9.
During these camps, nearly 1,350 people got their eyes checked. Out of them, doctors recommended 650 people for surgery. To help them, Rajagopal Reddy arranged special buses to take the patients to Shankar Hospital in Hyderabad, where 520 surgeries have already been completed. Around 100–150 surgeries are being performed every week.
After their surgeries, the MLA personally visits each patient to check on their health. Once they recover, he arranges buses to take them safely back to their villages. Many patients expressed their happiness and gratitude, saying they were lucky to have an MLA who not only provided free treatment but also cared for their well-being.
Rajagopal Reddy has now promised to conduct eye camps twice a month in all mandal centers of the constituency. His goal is to ensure that no one in the area suffers from vision problems. The people of Munugode are deeply thankful for his efforts.
