Nagar Kurnool: Local MLA Dr. Rajesh Reddy stressed the importance of Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS) in protecting farmers’ interests. He emphasized that PACS ensure justice for farmers and play a critical role in their well-being. Dr. Reddy was speaking at the inauguration of a newly constructed association building in Tadur Mandal Center, a part of his constituency.
The event was attended by Kalwakurthy MLA Kasireddy Narayan Reddy and DCCB Chairman Vishnu Vardhan Reddy. After the inauguration, Dr. Rajesh Reddy distributed Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak checks, along with Chief Minister’s Relief Fund checks, to eligible recipients. Additionally, he provided safety kits to toddy tappers, who rely on the trade for their livelihood.
In his speech, Dr. Reddy criticized the previous government for distributing welfare schemes based on political favoritism. He pointed out that since the formation of the Congress government, led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, welfare schemes have been provided to all eligible beneficiaries, regardless of political affiliation.
Dr. Reddy also mentioned several development initiatives introduced by the government. These include free electricity up to 200 units, gas cylinders at 500 rupees, and a 500-rupee bonus for low-income families. He further stated that the Congress government would soon start distributing Indiramma houses, select new pension beneficiaries, and issue ration cards to all eligible citizens.
He also revealed that the government has approved an Integrated School to offer corporate-level education to hundreds of students in the constituency. Dr. Reddy thanked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for supporting this initiative and shared that his constituency has now been included in the Nagarkurnool Urban Development Authority’s jurisdiction. This move aims to ensure that rural areas receive urban-like development funds without placing financial burdens on the residents.
The event was attended by several key individuals, including Tadur Single Window Chairman Ramachandra Reddy, Vice Chairman Venkat Reddy, CEO Anjaneyulu, officials, public representatives, and activists.
