    NPL Season-4 Cricket Tournament Inaugurated in Gadwal

    The NPL Season-4 Cricket Tournament began with a grand ceremony in the villages of Netivanipalli and Thanda, located in the Maldakal Mandal of Gadwal constituency. The event, organized on the occasion of the Sankranti festival, was inaugurated by MLA Sri Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy.

    The MLA was warmly welcomed by the local villagers and athletes, who honored him with a shawl and a bouquet. As part of the ceremony, the MLA played cricket and performed a coconut-breaking ritual to officially launch the tournament. He also conducted the toss to kickstart the first game.

    MLA's Message to Athletes

    During his speech, MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy emphasized the Telangana government’s efforts to promote sports and support athletes. He encouraged young people to excel not only in academics but also in sports, highlighting the importance of physical and mental fitness.

    The MLA praised the talent found in rural areas, noting that many athletes from villages in Telangana have competed at the national level in sports such as cricket and kabaddi. He expressed optimism that players from this tournament could one day represent India in cricket.

    He also spoke about the role of sports in building discipline, resilience, and teamwork. The MLA urged young athletes to strive for excellence and bring pride to their families, villages, and the Gadwal district by showcasing their talent on state, national, and international platforms. He concluded by emphasizing the value of sportsmanship, reminding players that both victory and defeat are part of the journey to success.
