    Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga participated in a demonstration to show support for the people of Manipur who have been affected by violence. Thousands of people throughout Mizoram joined in solidarity with Manipur.

    The rallies were organized by the NGO coordination committee, which includes major civil society organizations. Chief Minister Zoramthanga, Deputy CM Tawnluia, ministers, and MLAs from different parties also took part in the protest in Aizawl.

    Common people joined the peaceful protest, holding placards and posters condemning the violence in Manipur. The gathering in Aizawl was particularly large, with participants claiming it was the biggest demonstration in recent years.

    The ruling MNF party closed their offices to support the protest, and the opposition parties BJP, Congress, and ZPM also kept their offices shut in solidarity.

    During the rally, the NGO coordination committee chairman called on the Centre to address the suffering of the Zo people in Manipur and put an end to the violence. The protesters also passed resolutions urging the Centre to compensate the victims of the ethnic clash and ensure strict punishment for those involved in the mistreatment of two women.
