Senior Congress leader Mohammed Ali Shabbir thanked the people of Telangana, especially the minorities, for helping the Congress win eight out of 17 Lok Sabha seats in the State. He credited the nearly 100% minority vote share, particularly from Muslims and Christians, for the party’s success.

Shabbir Ali mentioned that the Congress party’s vote share in the Lok Sabha elections increased to 41% from 39.5% in the previous Assembly polls, thanks to strong support from minority communities. The party secured victories in Zaheerabad, Warangal, Khammam, Nalgonda, Peddapalli, Nagarkurnool, Mahabubabad, and Bhongir due to overwhelming minority support.

He accused the BJP of winning eight other seats through a secret alliance with the BRS. Despite provocative speeches by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, the Congress maintained its strategy and won eight seats, five more than in the 2019 elections.

Shabbir Ali alleged that local BRS leaders supported the BJP in constituencies like Secunderabad, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Chevella, Malkajgiri, Adilabad, Medak, and Mahabubnagar. He claimed that the Lok Sabha election results exposed the BJP-BRS nexus dating back to 2014.

The Congress leader assured that the Telangana government would fulfill all campaign promises and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy set clear deadlines for their implementation. Shabbir Ali also congratulated Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and others for the party’s historic victory.

He attributed the success to Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra and Nyay Yatra, which he said united India and led to the defeat of the BJP nationwide.
