Hyderabad: In order to effectively combat the current situation of heavy rainfall, Minister Prashanth Reddy of the Roads and Buildings Department has instructed officials to prepare a plan. After reviewing the situation on Sunday, Chief Minister KCR held a meeting at the Secretariat in Hyderabad with officials from Nizamabad and Kamareddy Irrigation Departments. Minister Prashanth Reddy provided several suggestions during the review.

It was reported that there is a need for 50 TMC (Thousand Million Cubic Feet) of water for the Lower Manair Dam (LMD) project. Currently, 20 TMC of water is available in the Sri Ram Sagar Project (SRSP). The Chief Minister has decided to lift an additional 30 TMC of water from Kaleshwaram daily, which will be supplied to the LMD project within 60 days. To facilitate the lifting of water, three pump houses will be constructed, as per the orders of Minister Sudhakar Reddy.
