Excise Minister V Srinivas Goud has provided an update on the progress of the Palamuru Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation project, stating that 80% of the works have been completed at Karivena and Udandapur Reservoirs. Speaking at the Zilla Parishad plenary meeting in Mahbubnagar, Goud said that underground tunnel works have been completed and canal works are pending. However, the Chief Minister has directed authorities to complete the remaining 20% of canal works by December-end to provide irrigation water to all areas in the district. Goud also highlighted the positive changes that have occurred in Mahbubnagar since the formation of Telangana, including improved access to safe drinking water, 24-hour power, and adequate funds for development projects.
