Peddapalli: IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu has emphasized the need for providing the best treatment to patients suffering from infectious diseases and viral fevers, especially due to the change in season. He also highlighted the importance of taking preventive measures to stop the spread of these illnesses.

The minister pointed out that mosquitoes have multiplied significantly due to the recent heavy rains. To tackle this, he suggested that anti-larval programs should be carried out in every village and municipality to reduce the mosquito population.

On Wednesday, Minister Sridhar Babu called the District Medical and Health Officer (DM&HO) Dr. Pramod. He directed the health department to identify and map people affected by fevers and other viral diseases in the district to ensure proper care.

He further instructed officials to fill all vacancies at the 50-bed hospital in Manthani to prevent staff shortages. He added that there should be enough medicines available at all times.

Medical teams were also advised to visit government hostels in the district. They should ensure that students suffering from fever are taken to hospitals for proper care.

Lastly, Sridhar Babu warned that viral diseases could spread more easily as the rains continue into the winter season.
