Peddapalli: IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu has emphasized the need for providing the best treatment to patients suffering from infectious diseases and viral fevers, especially due to the change in season. He also highlighted the importance of taking preventive measures to stop the spread of these illnesses.

On Wednesday, Minister Sridhar Babu called the District Medical and Health Officer (DM&HO) Dr. Pramod. He directed the health department to identify and map people affected by fevers and other viral diseases in the district to ensure proper care.

Sridhar Babu also stressed the importance of improving government hospitals. He said they should be the primary treatment centers instead of people relying on private hospitals. He suggested that doctors from all specialties should be available at the 200-bed Singareni Institute of Medical Sciences.

He further instructed officials to fill all vacancies at the 50-bed hospital in Manthani to prevent staff shortages. He added that there should be enough medicines available at all times.

Medical teams were also advised to visit government hostels in the district. They should ensure that students suffering from fever are taken to hospitals for proper care.

Lastly, Sridhar Babu warned that viral diseases could spread more easily as the rains continue into the winter season.
