    Hyderabad: New Campus of Potti Sriramulu Telugu University Inaugurated

    Minister for IT and Industries, D Sridhar Babu, inaugurated the new campus of Potti Sriramulu Telugu University in Bachupally on Monday. The sprawling campus, built on 100 acres of land, was constructed at a cost of Rs 35 crore. The event also coincided with the celebration of the university’s 39th foundation day.

    During the inauguration, Sridhar Babu announced the allocation of 100 computers to improve students’ technological skills. He urged students to gain expertise in artificial intelligence and assured them of skill development training in their chosen fields before graduation. The minister highlighted the government’s commitment to education and its focus on creating job opportunities for the unemployed.

    Sridhar Babu also emphasized the importance of the university’s mission to preserve and promote Telugu culture and traditions for future generations. As part of the celebrations, Padma Bhushan awardee Varaprasad Reddy was honoured with a prestigious award and a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh. In a generous gesture, Varaprasad Reddy donated Rs 1 crore towards the development of the university.
