    Transport Minister Conducts Surprise Inspection at Jubilee Bus Station

    Hyderabad: Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar conducted a surprise visit to the Jubilee Bus Station (JBS) in Secunderabad on Wednesday. The inspection aimed to address passenger concerns and improve facilities at the station.

    During his visit, the minister spoke to passengers and checked the condition of the toilets. He emphasized the importance of cleanliness and proper maintenance of the facilities for the convenience of travelers.

    As part of Road Safety Month, Ponnam Prabhakar also engaged with bus drivers to raise awareness about road safety. He met with RTC employees in the canteen and instructed them to ensure that quality food is served to staff and passengers.

    The minister inspected the cargo center on the station premises, inquiring about daily passenger footfall, the volume of cargo, and parcel services. He urged officials to improve operations for better service efficiency.

    Ponnam Prabhakar also interacted with the sanitation staff, stressing the need to maintain cleanliness in and around the bus station. Visiting the shops within the station, he warned shopkeepers to sell only quality food items and take action against expired products. He also instructed that no goods should be sold at inflated prices and warned of strict action against those violating this rule.

    While inspecting the platforms, the minister suggested that display boards be made more visible for passengers’ convenience. He directed officials to take all necessary steps to ensure a hassle-free experience for travelers.

    The minister was accompanied by District Collector Anudeep Durashetti and other officials during the inspection.
