    Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy Pushes for Infrastructure Development in Nalgonda

    Nalgonda: Minister for Roads, Buildings, and Cinematography, Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, reaffirmed his dedication to improving infrastructure across villages and municipal wards. His key focus areas include providing better roads, homes for the poor, and filling local lakes with Krishna water.

    On Thursday, the Minister laid foundation stones and inaugurated several development projects in the district. He opened the construction of a BT road from Chandragiri Villa, which is expected to cost Rs 1 crore. In addition, he inaugurated a newly built mutton market in Prakasam Bazaar, which cost Rs 75 lakh. He also initiated the construction of a CC road from Masrampalli Road to AR Nagar, valued at Rs 35 lakh.

    During the events, Komatireddy highlighted that road and drainage works in Nalgonda town, worth Rs 500 crore, are progressing well. He further announced that tenders have been called for a CC road project from Thallayigudem to Pittalampally, estimated at Rs 6 crore, with work expected to start within a month.

    The Minister directed the municipal commissioner, engineers, and contractors to ensure that the Chandragiri Villa road construction begins immediately and is completed before the Dasara festival. He also promised to resolve the drinking water issue in Chandragiri Villa by replacing water pipelines within two days.

    Komatireddy reassured residents that every household in Nalgonda would soon receive drinking water through Mission Bhagiratha. He also mentioned the construction of 15 water tanks, each with a capacity of 11 lakh liters, at a total cost of Rs 400 crore.

    Regarding local lakes, the Minister stated that lakes such as Brahmana Vellamula could be filled with Krishna water once ongoing projects like SLBC are completed. He added that funds for these projects have already been released.

    In an effort to boost tourism, the Tourism Department has allocated Rs 25 crore to build a Haritha Hotel near Mahatma Gandhi University. This initiative aims to attract more visitors to the area.

    Addressing local concerns, the Minister promised to resolve ongoing disputes surrounding gold shops in Prakasam Bazaar within 15 days. He also mentioned the construction of a high school in Bottuguda, a project funded by the Prateek Foundation at a cost of Rs 3 crore, which is expected to open by December.

    Lastly, Komatireddy assured that 50 acres of land have been allocated for building homes for the poor. This is part of his broader commitment to improving infrastructure, providing better roads, and ensuring housing for the underprivileged in Nalgonda.
